Summary of the Incorruptible presentation at Incarnate Catholic Church in Orlando, Florida.

I arrived at Incarnate Catholic Church around 7 am Saturday morning.  Something was off.  Something was not right.  The beautiful little church had its doors boarded up.  I could see what appeared to be ash where glass once adorned the windows.  Had the church been on fire?   Questions flew around my head.  Is this the place I am suppose to be speaking at?   What happened?  Where do I go?

As I walked around the parameter of the church I found a door to another building.  Inside was a gathering space now being used to celebrate Holy Mass.  I was greeted by Ellen Holmes Steeves-LeBlanc, a catholic pilgrimage tour operator, who I have been social media pals with for sometime.  She drove down from the Carolinas to set up this event for Incorruptible.  Next, I met Luis Roman, a parishioner who is also a popular Spanish language podcaster with over 500k subscribers across multiple platforms.

After attending a beautiful Ordinariate Mass it was time to get started with my presentation.  The room was small.  There were a couple of round tables set up.  No matter, big or small, 2 people or 100, this was my first opportunity to share parts of Incorruptible with real people!   This talk and presentation would be my proof of concept for what will hopefully be many more opportunities to share this film.  As people began trickling in, I was pleasantly surprised to see every chair fill up. The smell of coffee and the soft chatter of the faithful filled the room. Soon they brought in more chairs.  The room was packed with a vibrant and receptive crowd.

If you had asked me what I would say the day before this event I couldn’t tell you.  My style of presentation is very much fluid.   Often times I will visualize what I am going to say days before any event.  So in my head there is an outline and I have plenty of materials to share, but truly every talk is different.  Every crowd is different.  But Incorruptible is also different.  This movie contains a story that the world needs to hear.  So this talk was designed to include a number of incredible stories I have learned about the life and faith of Sister Wilhelmina.  I also share behind the scenes footage and clips from the film.  The goal is to share, inspire and encourage folks to get involved.  

Why Sister Wilhemina?   That is a question that I have asked multiple people across the country over the last year.  Why her?  Who was she?  What is God trying to tell us with her incorrupt body?  People are also often curious how it is that I became involved with telling Sister’s story.  So my talk includes a bit of the spiritual connection my family felt with the Sisters.  Other talking points include: How was my late son Fulton connected to the Sisters?  How is Nellie Gray, the founder of the March for Life, connected to Sister Wilhelmia? What have we filmed?  Who have we filmed?  What is left for us to do to finish the film?   

Ellen and Luis both graciously spoke before introducing me.  After which I gave my presentation.   My talk lasted nearly an hour.  Ellen made an appeal on my behalf and soon the 25 or so CDs I brought were all spoken for!  It was humbling to speak with so many Catholics interested in the Benedictines and in Sister Wilhelmina.  

One take away for me is that people really do want to support this film.  They are want to learn about this incredible sister from Gower Missouri.  God willing we’ll be able to finish this project soon.

As for Incarnate.  While there I discovered the answers to my initial questions.  The church had infact been destroyed by arson!  The outside is still standing but the inside was completely burned down.  The fire was so hot that metal melted!  However something miraculous was discovered.  One Luna in a monstrance was buried in the ash!  This image has since gone viral being shared thousands of times across Facebook and X.com.   Was this a Eucharistic Miracle?  Listen to the interview below.  Judge for yourself.   Pax Christ!
